Types of Upholstery
-
Fabric upholstery is versatile and comes in a wide range of colours, patterns and textures. Common fabric options include cotton, linen, polyester, velvet and microfiber. Each fabric has its own durability, care requirements and aesthetic appeal.
-
Velvet upholstery adds a touch of luxury and elegance to furniture. It has a plush texture and a rich lustrous appearance. However, velvet can be more challenging to clean and may show wear over time.
-
Leather is a durable and luxurious option for upholstery. It adds a timeless and sophisticated look to furniture. Different types of leather, such as full-grain, top-grain and bonded leather offer varying levels of quality and price points.
-
Microsuede also known as microfibre suede is a soft and durable fabric made from synthetic fibres. It's resistant to stains and easy to clean which makes it a practical choice for furniture upholstery especially in households with pets or kids.
-
Vinyl upholstery is a synthetic material that mimics the look and feel of leather. It's often more affordable and easier to clean than genuine leather making it a popular choice for high-traffic areas or households with pets and children.
-
Canvas upholstery is a durable and heavy-duty fabric often used for outdoor furniture or industrial-style interiors. It's resistant to water and mildew which makes it ideal for outdoor use.
Process from Quote to Installation
-
Please send photos of the furniture piece that requires reupholstering, along with high-level measurements to enquiries@beboliving.com.au, as this will assist us in assessing the scope of work and determining the level of effort involved.
Note: Please also provide any additional information about the furniture that you consider relevant, as this will assist us in providing a complete and accurate quote.
-
Bebo Living will review the photos and other details you provide and issue a high-level quote for the job (excluding fabric).
Once the quote is accepted, we will invite you to attend a consultation to review and select the fabric and trims (if required).
Following fabric selection, a more accurate quote will be provided.
-
Upon acceptance of the detailed quote, we will arrange collection of the furniture and commence the build phase, during which our artisans will begin work on your furniture at our factory to deliver the finished product within the agreed timeframe.
-
The final step in the process is installation. Our team will contact you to schedule a suitable installation date and time. We will then deliver and install the reupholstered furniture, complete a final inspection with you, and sign off on the job to ensure your full satisfaction with both the product and the installation.
